2019 – Media Release – GEN.CHOI’S TAEKWON-DO MEMORIAL CUP
2019 SATURDAY JUNE 08TH GEN.CHOI’S TAEKWON-DO MEMORIAL CUP, Algonquin College Woodroffe Campus Gynasium!!!
General Choi Hong Hi is the Founder of TaeKwon-Do who formed TaeKwon-Do in 1955, he passed away in 2002. TaeKwon-Do is a Korean Martial art of Self-Defence, it would condition one’s both mind and body through intensive training. TaeKwon-Do aims to help the practitioners to achieve self-discipline, self-confidence, a healthy life style as well to serve and to build a more peaceful world. TaeKwon-Do is an art, a philosophy, a sport and a way of life.
The event will be held at the Algonquin College Woodroffe Campus Gymnasium, 1385 Woodroffe Avenue. There will be the elite competitors across North America, Nunavut, China, Dom. Republic. The event will start at 8am with the children divisions. The Opening Ceremony will be at 11am. There will be a Black Belt Demonstration by the Canadian World Champion Junior Team who won multiple medals from the last March CHITF World Championship in Australia as well the Black Belts high level of Special Multiple targets breaking in the air semi-final competition.
